Satisfaction Guarantee & Refund Policy

What this policy covers

This policy applies to paid GizmoSQL Enterprise licenses purchased from GizmoData LLC — both annual ($300/vCPU/year) and monthly ($30/vCPU/month) plans. GizmoSQL Core is free and open-source (Apache-2.0) and has no fee to refund.

Within 30 days: 100% refund

If you are not satisfied for any reason, contact us within 30 calendar days of your purchase date and we will refund 100% of the license fee you paid. No justification is required.

After 30 days: pro-rated refund

If you request a refund more than 30 days after purchase, we refund the unused, time-based portion of your current term. We calculate it as:

refund = (remaining full days in term ÷ total days in term) × license fee

Example. On a $3,000/year license (10 vCPUs × $300) cancelled on day 90 of a 365-day term, 275 days remain. The refund is 275 ÷ 365 × $3,000 ≈ $2,260.27. For monthly plans the unused-time amount is small because each term is short; in most monthly cases the practical choice is simply to cancel before the next renewal.

Effect on your license

A refund terminates the license. Your GizmoSQL Enterprise license key and your right to use Enterprise features end as of the refund date, and any active subscription is cancelled. You remain free to use GizmoSQL Core under its open-source license.

What is not covered

• Professional services already delivered — for example done-with-you migration or consulting engagements — are billed separately and are not refundable under this policy.
• Third-party costs (your own cloud infrastructure, storage, or compute) are never billed by GizmoData and are not part of any refund.

How to request a refund

Email licenses@gizmodata.com from the email address on your order, and include:

• Your company name and the order or Stripe receipt number
• The email associated with the purchase
• A short note that you would like a refund (a reason is welcome but not required)

We process approved refunds to your original payment method through Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer. You can also manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the customer billing portal.

Does GizmoSQL Enterprise come with a money-back guarantee?

Yes. If you request a refund within 30 days of your purchase, we refund 100% of the license fee — no questions asked. After 30 days, we refund the unused, time-based portion of your term on a pro-rated basis.
